Welcome to The Saw’s Butcher Shop, Butcher Crew! It’s ya girl, The Saw. And Behemoth have dropped a fourth single from their upcoming release, Opvs Contra Natvram, entitled, “Thy Becoming Eternal.” This song is a pure banger! Classic Behemoth – crushing the line of Extreme Metal, is it Black Metal or Death Metal? This awesome track contains the components of both.

Nergal (vocals, guitar), himself, states of the new single, “The song itself is a fast and furious beast with a bombastic ending; definitely one of the most intense songs in Behemoth’s catalog. We’re trying to keep things fresh!”

The video was produced by talented Japanese animator, Ruben Fro. Of course, as Behemoth song videos always are, the video is striking and captivating. It is not as the previous official videos, however. This newest one is strange, but not gory; it’s dark, but not in the sense of the previous three. It is of “our stoic warrior journeying through” a strange, yet familiar landscape.

“Thy Becoming Eternal” begins in a vicious Black Metal rage – blast beats, atmospheric guitars, and Nergal’s wicked vocals. A time, and slight tempo, change sets us up for the wicked bridge to the chorus. This section is a beautifully heavy atmospheric riff, before circling back to the opening attack. In the middle of the track we have a very nice Death Metal riff that moves into the “bombastic ending” of hailing Satan.

Opvs Contra Natvram is due to drop on September 16, 2022. And The Saw is excited!
