Butcher Crew, it’s The Saw! And the Prince of Darkness, OZZY, has dropped a brand-new single, “Patient Number 9.” The track features Jeff Beck on guitars. If you don’t know, Beck played with The Yardbirds in the 1960s; a band that has featured not only Beck, but Eric Clapton (Cream) and Jimmy Page (Led Zepplin). Beck joins OZZY on this new song, with a huge chorus and trademark OZZY concepts.
OZZY claims that he may have been a patient in a mental hospital, which is his influence for “Patient Number 9.” The song has a cool animated video, and is the Title Track for his new album (his 13th solo album) that will be released on September 9, 2022 via Epic Records. “Patient Number 9” was written by OZZY, Watt, Ali Tamposi, Robert Trujillo (Metallica), and Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers).
Interesting note concerning the video: The hand-drawings of the demons (shown during Beck’s solo) are the work of OZZY, himself!
The new album features a star-studded cast of musicians (which ya girl will cover during The New Album Review). But, YES, Zakk Wylde (BLS) plays most of the guitars on the new record, while Trujillo plays most of the bass tracks, and Smith holds down the drums.
In spite of many health problems, OZZY vows to rock on as long as he’s alive. He even plans to tour for the new album! OZZY has worldwide sales of over 100 million units, top ten albums spanning over five decades, and has been inducted into The Rock And Roll Hall of Fame (as Co-Founder of Black Sabbath). He has not only influenced countless bands, but has discovered and taken out on the road MANY of the Metal world’s top acts. The Godfather of Metal, The Prince of Darkness – OZZY Osbourne; loved by 10s of millions of fans (and artists) worldwide.
Stay Metal,
THE SAW
